During the Great Meeting with the Venezuelan Youth, the Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, sent a message to the President of the United States, Donald Trump, in which she requested “the end of the sanctions and blockade against our Homeland.”
Summed to this, she highlighted that the country’s youth have joined this call, also underscoring the following: “Let no one steal our independence, our right to be young, but a right to be a Venezuelan youth, who carries in their veins the blood of our Liberator men and women. And may that blood drive us each day to defend Venezuela.”
Rodríguez makes this appeal to the U.S. government since, in the recent last days, the U.S. President stated that he was “a friend and partner of Venezuela.”
For this reason, the Acting President also emphasized that Venezuela has never been a country that threatens the United States, nor any other country in the world, because it has always maintained a policy and geopolitical vision of friendship and cooperation.
Along the same vein, the Acting President manifested President Trump that, “as friends, as partners, as we are opening a new agenda of cooperation, (we ask to) cease now the sanctions and the blockade against our Homeland because this blockade is also against the Venezuelan youth.”
