The Venezuelan economy reached a significant milestone in October 2026, recording its lowest monthly inflation rate in the last 24 months, as announced by President Delcy Rodríguez. The official figure was presented during the closing of the «Building Opportunities» Congress, organized by the Venezuelan Confederation of Industrialists (Conindustria). This trend is the result of a joint effort by the Venezuelan people and the national productive sector, which saw a 23% increase in consumption capacity over the past year, alongside higher production volumes and greater utilization of the installed capacity.
«October’s inflation rate closed as the lowest in 24 months. This is an effort of everyone, of the Venezuelan people, who have improved their consumption capacity by 23% over the last 12 months, but also of the productive capacity, you have bigger production volumes and better use of the installed capacity. This growth, in both production and consumption, has yielded positive results regarding inflation,» the head of state asserted.
The economic trajectory over the last seven years reflects continuous progress across various productive sectors, even amidst the constraints imposed by sanctions and an economic blockade. During her address, the dignitary highlighted the beginning of a process to reverse these challenges, and affired: «We have traveled a difficult path together. We have traveled as the president of Conindustria noted, seven years of growth, but also of an immense effort, within an environment where Venezuelan productive sectors have been constrained by the complex of sanctions and an economic blockade. Today, we are beginning to reverse that situation.»
With a growth rate of 6.6% recorded in the third quarter of 2026, Venezuela leads economic development in Latin America, despite the impact of the double earthquake that struck on June 24, 2026. In light of these favorable projections for the year’s end, the national Executive extended an invitation to the international community to join in the economic recovery and post-earthquake reconstruction plan, with the goal of maintaining social stability and the path of growth.
