The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, received the list of nominations for military promotions corresponding to this year, during a work session developed along with the Minister of People’s Power for Defense, General-in-Chief González López, and the chiefs of the components of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
During the meeting, was held the review and evaluation of the candidates, examining the professional merits, discipline, and loyalty of the postulated officials in order to receive their higher ranks.
This evaluation process is being carried out within the framework of the special circumstances arising from the national emergency following the double earthquake that struck last June 24, coinciding with the commemoration of Army Day and the Battle of Carabobo.
The authorities present emphasized the fundamental role the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) have played in the works of clearing debris, searching for missing persons, providing assistance at temporary camps, and direct support to affected communities throughout the national territory.
The closing of the evaluation of the candidates will happen in the coming hours, when the final list will be submitted to the Ministry of Defense, as well as its official publication, thus guaranteeing a process that adheres to the principles of fairness and professional evaluation within the institution.
