President Delcy Rodríguez highlights advances in energy and production record at Petrozamora

Through her official channels, Delcy Rodríguez reported on the advances derived from 17 hydrocarbon-related agreements signed with the United States in August 2026.

During an address focused on the energy sector, she pointed out that the agreements are intended to facilitate the exploitation of the country’s reserves and strengthen bilateral cooperation regarding energy security. In this sense, she highlighted that the Petrozamora field, located in Zulia state, has reached a record production level of 115,000 barrels per day, with expectations to reach 120,000 barrels per day by December.

Rodríguez indicated that these figures contribute to the national target of 1,252,000 barrels per day, while also fostering new opportunities for gas exports and creating linkages with other key sectors of the national economy. Furthermore, she emphasized that the industry’s strategic objective is to position the country among the world’s leading producers.

To close, Rodríguez reaffirmed that the growth of the hydrocarbon sector is ultimately aimed at generating social well-being, higher incomes, and employment for Venezuelan families—effectively translating the productivity of these resources into the comprehensive development of the nation.
