The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez announced that the National Executive will present a set of special economic measures aimed at financing the recovery of the areas affected by the earthquake. The financial plan will focus its efforts on the productive and commercial reactivation of La Guaira state.
The National Dignitary called on real estate and construction chambers to fully reactivate the country’s industrial capacity. Moreover, Rodríguez ratified that the agro-industrial and pharmaceutical engines are fully operational in order to ensure the supply of food and medicine throughout the whole territory.
The Head of State confirmed that the Government has formally resumed relations with various multilateral financial bodies. These international institutions have activated economic support mechanisms to cooperate with projects to build safe housing solutions for families who lost their homes.
The president detailed that all national productive sectors agree in their rejection of the economic blockade that weighs on the Republic. In that regard, the dignitary urged the international community to send an extraordinary signal by definitively lifting the financial sanctions against the nation.
Finally, Rodríguez confirmed that the State granted the necessary legal authorizations to facilitate the entry of aid collected by citizens abroad. The high-ranking official emphasized that official logistical channels guarantee that the supplies sent by the diaspora reach the vulnerable populations in a direct manner.
