The President of the Republic Delcy Rodríguez led a work meeting aimed at reaching labor consensuses with representatives from the Federation of Chambers and Associations of Commerce and Production of Venezuela (Fedecámaras), the Federation of Chambers and Enterprises of Venezuela (Fedeindustria), and Venezuela’s labor union federations.
Evaluation of Legislative Proposals and Progress on Labor Consensuses:
This work group is evaluating in an integral manner the progress made during various thematic sessions focused on labor and social consensuses, where have been evaluated key areas such as the guiding principles of labor, the incorporation of various forms of income into base salary, salary scales and structures, and other matters related to ensuring job stability—a commitment the National Government has consistently upheld.
Likewise were addressed various legislative proposals linked to this kind of labor consensuses. These regulatory instruments are designed to safeguard job stability and guarantee non-waivable rights, such as those concerning working hours, year-end bonuses, additional incentives, vacation time, social benefits, and seniority-based premiums.
Participants in the meeting include the Sectoral Vice President for Administration and Digital Government and Minister of the People’s Power for the Economy, Anabel Pereira; the Sectoral Vice President for Social and Territorial Socialism and Minister of the People’s Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez; the Sectoral Vice President and Minister of the People’s Power for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez; and the Sectoral Vice President for Economy, Calixto Ortega.
Also in attendance are the Minister of the People’s Power for the Social Process of Labor, Carlos Alexis Castillo; the Minister of the People’s Power for University Education, Ana María San Juan; and the Presidential Commissioner for the Constituent Process and Labor Consensuses, Eduardo Piñate.
