The Vice Minister of International Communications, Williams Castillo, dismantled the campaigns of lies about an alleged media censorship in Venezuela.
“There’s no way to prove it. In Venezuela there are no social communicators imprisoned because of their work, there are no judicial processes involving thought or opinion, and we have come to tell the truth of Venezuela. ”
During a meeting with students of the University of Panama, Castillo said that in Venezuela there is no censorship nor any journalists prisoners of thought.
The Vice Minister for International Communication called for defending social responsibility as an ethical principle in the face of abuses of the media at the service of capital.
In the Forum called “Democratization of Communication and Information in Venezuela”, William Castillo announced the new communication model promoted by Commander Hugo Chavez, based on respect for freedom of expression, under schemes of People’s participation.
