Dialogue agreement opens the way to consolidate peace

The recent agreement reached at the second roundtable, which includes joint statements by representatives of the Bolivarian Government and the opposition, called “Coexisting in Peace”, “opens the way to the consolidation of peace in Venezuela.”
The statement was made by the Vice President of the Republic, Aristóbulo Isúriz, during the program “Dando y Dando-Radio” (Taking and Giving-Radio), broadcast by the RNV Informative Channel, while qualifying the document as extraordinary.
“It allows us to create an atmosphere of coexistence between two positions that are antagonistic and irreconcilable, because they are two opposite ways of seeing the country, but that we are forced to live together in the same society.”
He rescued some of the points contained in the agreement as the issue of non-violence and the actions of political actors in the framework of the Constitution of the Republic, however, he hinted that while the difficult economic situation persists, a sector from the opposition tries to deepen the financial blockade.
“It is not possible for us to have a boat loaded with foodstuffs, to have the ships to load them, and it is not possible to do so, because we have a financial blockade with the complicity of Venezuelans.”
Will publicize Venezuela’s actions at the UN
The Vice-President of the Republic informed that on Wednesday Venezuelan authorities will make a presentation to the National Council of Human Rights regarding the country’s participation in the Interactive Forum on Human Rights of the United Nations, held last October in Geneva.
Istúriz highlighted the intervention of the Minister for Penitentiary Services, Iris Varela, whose exposition aroused the curiosity of many countries to know what is being done in Venezuela in the area of human rights at the prisons.
