PSUV ratified Government's willingness to continue dialogue process initiated in Dominican Republic

The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) ratified on Monday the disposal of the Government to continue the meetings to achieve a dialogue with the opposition, such as the one initiated several months ago in the Dominican Republic.
During the weekly Press Conference of this political organization, which this time was held in Nueva Esparta, Cabello said that the Government is not in the process of negotiations with the self-called Democratic Unity Board (MUD), as their political actors have wanted to make see.
“We have absolutely nothing to negotiate with the opposition (…) The only way for here to have a referendum is to comply with what is established in the Constitution and the laws”, he said in a broadcast by Venezolana de Television.
He said it is neither viable a possible recall referendum against President Nicolas Maduro, since that request has been fraudulent.
“We within the Chavismo are very clever: We do not want a referendum. It is a request made by the opposition (…) a fraudulent application that died at birth due to the political indecency of the opposition that led them to commit a fraud”, said Cabello.
On several occasions, the National Government has reaffirmed the will of dialogue to build common proposals aimed at the development and social progress of the country, including the constructive contributions they can make sectors opposing the Bolivarian Revolution.
The first meetings to explore the start of a national dialogue between the Government and representatives of the opposition political parties were held in late May in Santo Domingo, capital of Dominican Republic.
In this process, the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) has ratified support to this dialogue and invited the opposition to attend the next meetings in pursuit of peace and welfare of the population.
