Padrino López: Peace and democracy have won in Venezuela

The Minister for Defense, General Vladimir Padrino López, congratulated the people of Venezuela for the electoral process that took place this Sunday, May 20, where was elected the President of the Republic and members of the Legislative Councils of the 23 states of the country.

“The election journey of May 20 has been a successful one, where peace and democracy in Venezuela have won”, he said.
“This Sunday leaves as a main lesson the civic, peaceful and optimistic behavior of the people of Venezuela,” explained Padrino López, from Fort Tiuna, where he offered a review of the Republic Plan.

He thanked the Bolivarian National Armed Forces for its performance and “the attitude it has taken, with a strategy and a planning by the millimeter”

On the electoral process, he said: “It has been a positive balance. The desire of the Venezuelan people to choose who you think best, exercising their will to choose, their freedom. ”

Finally congratulated the Electoral Power for organizing 4 elections in 6 months: “With reliability and transparency”, he said.
For his part, the Minister for Interior relations, Justice and Peace, Néstor Luis Reverol, expressed his gratitude to the Venezuelans who came to exercise the right to vote and stressed that it has been an extraordinary journey:

“I want to recognize the deployment and planning we have done together to create this perfect binomial and guarantee peace. We have complied with all the protocols that the Operational Strategic Command has demanded that has been deployed throughout the national territory”, he said, while reporting that there were no events to be regretted during the development of the electoral process.
