Journalist José Vicente Rangel denounced that the opposition seeks to create violence in the country with the calling for a march on next September 1, just as they did in April 2002.
During his participation in the Sunday program “Jose Vicente Hoy” (Jose Vicente Today), broadcast by the private television station Televen, the journalist said that the Board of Democratic Unity (MUD) is unable to mobilize such a volume of people, because their ability of convenement is at its lowest low.
Regarding the attempt for a revoking referendum organized by the Venezuelan right wing against President Nicolas Maduro, he stressed that the Rector of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Tibisay Lucena, made it clearly established everything concerning the regulations and requirements established in the law in order to activate the process.
According to Rangel the right wing’s response “Has the features it has always had”, it has been based on the insult, disqualification and offense; “There has not been so far a single argument to remove what has been said by the Rector”, and thus he urged the opposition sector to respect the highest electoral authority, its laws and regulations.
