The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, declared that the time has come for the definitive emancipation of Our Americas, hoisting the legacy of the Liberator Simón Bolívar:
“The time has come for Bolívar, for the emancipation of Our Americas, for freedom to achieve peace, for the greatest social happiness,” affirmed the President, outlining a vision of unity and sovereignty for the region.
The National Dignitary spoke highly of the recent events of November 23, describing them as “brilliant, spectacular, and beautiful.”
He also emphasized that it was a perfect date on which all the accumulated forces converged at the “political, social, and spiritual” levels.
“It was a day of a sovereign, decisive people, of direct democracy, and a tremendous journey with record participation,” he emphasized, underscoring the high level of popular involvement.
A highlight point of his address was his explicit gratitude to the evangelical churches, both national and those in the United States, for their support and courage; he thus valued their role in defending the right to peace and rejecting war, accompanying the struggle for territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
“I called upon my Christian brothers and sisters, and they came to embrace and protect me. I thank you for your courage in defending the right to peace, rejecting war, and standing with me; that is the gesture and attitude of the true children of Christ,” he expressed, recalling a “wonderful prayer” he shared with the pastors.
The President also made a review of the government’s weekly agenda, focused on areas such as science, faith, the People’s Power, integral development, and the working class.
President Nicolás Maduro reaffirmed the nation’s ideological path, asserting that Venezuela «defends its victorious truth, builds a new life and the Christian socialism of the 21st century,» thus consolidating a political project that seeks liberation and maximum social happiness for the people.
