The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, through the Ministry of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, reported on the successful arrival of two new humanitarian flights under the «Vuelta a la Patria” (Return to the Homeland) Plan, which facilitated the voluntary return of 570 Venezuelan nationals from Mexico and the United States.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil highlighted the arrival of flight number 94, operated by the state-owned airline Conviasa, which landed at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía with 304 Venezuelans from Mexico. Subsequently, flight number 95 of this year arrived from the United States, transporting 266 citizens, in an operation carried out with Eastern Airlines, authorized for this humanitarian mission.
«With these compatriots, we have now brought back more than 18,000 Venezuelans who have returned to their homeland by air through this plan created under the instructions of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro,» affirmed Chancellor Gil during the reception. He emphasized that this mechanism «guarantees a safe and voluntary return for those who were forced to migrate due to the effects of the economic war.»
The head of Venezuelan diplomacy stressed that the citizens are returning «driven by the change and financial growth that the nation is experiencing, and with the desire to contribute to productive development.» He also highlighted that the operation, coordinated with the entire team of the «Vuelta a la Patria» Plan, «reaffirms national sovereignty, guarantees peace, and facilitates the integration of the repatriated individuals into the country’s social and economic projects.»
With these new arrivals, the total number of Venezuelans repatriated by air amounts to 18,354. Of the total, 14,407 are Venezuelan nationals who resided in the United States, demonstrating the continuity and scope of the humanitarian plan. Upon disembarking on Venezuelan soil, the 570 repatriated citizens were received by national authorities and specialized personnel providing comprehensive care, who offered them the necessary immediate assistance and supported them throughout the arrival process. This institutional operation reflects the Venezuelan State’s commitment to supporting its citizens who decide to return to the country.
The Vuelta a la Patria Plan is thus consolidated as a humanitarian state policy, aimed at facilitating the safe, voluntary, and dignified return of Venezuelan men and women who wish to reintegrate into national life and contribute to the development of the nation.
