The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, led a Meeting of Binational Prayer for Peace this Tuesday from Miraflores Palace.
The event was proposed by a group of American Christian pastors concerned about the rising of tensions in the Caribbean region:
«We are here in prayer for peace» stated the Venezuelan Head of State at the start of the spiritual gathering, which had a binational participation.
The President emphasized that «spiritual power is the greatest we can have; it is the power of God, and we are simply His instruments.»
The initiative arose after receiving a letter from American religious leaders, whose identities were kept confidential, expressing their intention to promote a day of prayer for peace in Venezuela and the region.
President Maduro had previously announced this communication during his «Con Maduro+» program on Monday, November 17.
A significant group of Venezuelan pastors from various parishes in Caracas, including the Caricuao community, joined the gathering, offering «blessings of life» from the path of Christ.
The religious leaders offered words of faith to the Venezuelan people and the President during the meeting.
He also particularly valued the presence of the Christian leaders and their unified support for peace.
This spiritual support comes amid recent international tensions and military deployments in Caribbean waters.
The meeting represented a significant gesture of spiritual diplomacy in a context of complex international relations.
The binational prayer demonstrated how faith communities can build bridges of understanding beyond political differences.
This religious initiative underscores the importance of multilateral efforts for the preservation of regional peace.
The event reinforced the message that diplomatic solutions must be complemented by actions that promote mutual understanding between nations.
