Fourth National Popular Consultation will be made with 8,630 electoral centers

The National Government announced that the Fourth National Popular Consultation will be held next Sunday, November 23, with a logistical deployment of 8,630 electoral centers and 9,963 voting tables throughout the country.

The announcement was made by the Minister of People’s Power for Communes and Social Movements, Ángel Prado, during the broadcast of the weekly «Con Maduro +» program. In the same program, President Nicolás Maduro emphasized the need to guarantee the operational readiness of all electoral infrastructure for this process, which aims to select community projects:

“I don’t want any surprises. You tell me in real time, let not a single electoral center fail, not a single one. I know they won’t. But I like to be on top of the details; it’s my responsibility… The Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez always said: ‘Carmen, the devil is in the details,’” stated the President, emphasizing the importance of thorough oversight.

Key Figures of the Process:

Minister Prado detailed the following figures that frame the day:

– Electoral Centers: 8,630

– Polling Tables: 9,963

– Projects for Consultation: 36,574

– Community Circuits: 5,336

Prado explained that, in this consultation, two projects will be chosen for each community circuit.

Support and Assessment in Caracas:

For her part, the Mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, endorsed the process and highlighted the capital’s experience in previous consultations. Meléndez indicated that the city is working with 299 communal circuits and 598 projects, considering the first and second place choices.

He also offered a positive assessment of the prior consultation process, stating that in Caracas, nearly 95% of the projects selected in the three previous rounds have been implemented.

The Fourth National Popular Consultation is presented as a citizen participation mechanism designed to prioritize and implement projects with a direct impact on communities.
