Venezuelan youth is called to govern the country to consolidate the Communal State

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, called on the Venezuelan youth to assume governmental responsibilities in the construction of the Communal State. The president made these remarks during a meeting with the Youth Committees of the Communes:

«Youth governing from right now; it’s not that you will govern in the future, no, I am calling on you to govern from right now,» affirmed the Head of State. He also emphasized the importance of youth power in the territory and the communal youth power as fundamental pillars of national development.

Likewise, he highlighted the many areas where young people can develop their potential, including entrepreneurship, sports, culture, and social leadership. He also recognized the transformative role of young people in building a more just and participatory society.

During his address, the president made a special appeal for young people to pursue training in all areas, including the Bolivarian Militia: «Anyone who voluntarily wishes to join the Bolivarian Militia can do so,» he stated, underscoring the importance of national defense.

He also qualified these encounters with young people as unforgettable experiences that «mark the soul and the spirit of the struggle.» He further emphasized their importance in defending the rights of the nation and strengthening community organization.

Youth was identified as a fundamental element of the country’s life, its spirituality, and national identity. President Maduro particularly highlighted the joy, energy, and constructive vocation of the new generations.

Finally, he emphasized the need to work together to defend national sovereignty: «We must be as one, president and youth, youth and president,» he concluded during his address to the young community members.
