President Nicolás Maduro announced the approval of a special fund to finance projects selected through the National Popular Consultation of Youth. The announcement was made at Ezequiel Zamora Park in Caracas, during the launch of a new phase of collective work.
The head of state emphasized that the main objective of this fund is to provide an immediate financial boost to youth initiatives in their final stages of development: «I received a report indicating the existence of approximately 10,000 projects that needed a final push in terms of materials and resources,» explained the dignatary.
«Consequently, I have approved a special fund for Minister Sergio Lotartaro to complete these projects that are in their final stages and need this support,» confirmed Maduro during his address. The president emphasized the importance of this new phase of work, focused on ensuring the implementation of the proposals chosen by young people.
«We are committed to expanding leadership, consolidating the organization, and above all, ensuring that all approved projects are fully completed,» stated the president. He also expressed his appreciation for the strength and energy demonstrated by Venezuelan youth in recent mobilizations, highlighting their fundamental role in defending peace and national sovereignty.
In his speech, the president recalled that, as part of Commander Hugo Chávez’s legacy, the formation of Youth Committees in each commune across the country was initiated. This effort led to the consolidation of a structure of 53,360 youth organizing teams, integrated into the 5,336 Communal Circuits nationwide.
Finally, the Head of State emphasized the importance of unity between youth and the National Government to carry out these projects that strengthen community development and youth leadership throughout Venezuela.
