President Maduro recognizes role of the scientific seedbeds in the 2025 World Physics Olympiad for Young Physicists

A Venezuelan delegation of 19 young people, members of the Scientific Seedbeds program, achieved outstanding participation in the 2025 World Physics Olympiad for Young Physicists (WYPO), winning a total of 16 medals: two gold, five silver, nine bronze, and three honorable mentions.

The competition, which promotes critical thinking and the resolution of complex problems at an international level, showcased the brilliance, perseverance, and boundless dedication of Venezuelan youth. This result consolidates national talent on the demanding global scientific stage.

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated the students via his channel on Telegram. In his message, he stated: “When the world looks to the future, Venezuela is already there, with its Generation of Brilliants at the forefront. What our 19 Scientific Seedbeds have achieved is a clear sign that Venezuelan talent is prepared to face the most complex challenges.”

Since its inception, this program has stood out as the heart of a project for the nation, representing the conscious sowing of a future of technological and scientific sovereignty. Each achievement of these young people is living proof that this effort is bearing extraordinary fruit.

With this exceptional performance, the Venezuelan delegation demonstrates that it is prepared to shine on any stage in the world, embodying the spirit of a Venezuela that thinks, creates, and triumphs in the field of science.
