The president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nicolás Maduro Moros, announced the formation of 264,000 Bolivarian Committees of Integral Base (CBBI) throughout the country as his central proposal. This initiative was presented during the party congress, with the goal of deploying a new vanguard structure in every street of the nation.
The Head of State explained that each committee would have at least nine spokespeople elected through community assemblies. He also emphasized that the mission of these organizations is profoundly revolutionary, focused on developing values, leadership, and comprehensive preparedness for the defense of the homeland:
“This new vanguard structure must be deployed in the 264,000 streets of the country, thus consolidating People’s Power throughout the territory… I propose at this congress that the Bolivarian Committees of Integral Base (CBBI) be formed in the 264,000 streets of the country, with at least nine spokespeople elected by assemblies,” he explained.
The Bolivarian Committees of Integral Base will prioritize ideological education, preparation for defense, and the organization of revolutionary families in their immediate surroundings. He also emphasized that they will preferably be led by women, although they will operate under collective and team-based work models.
The second proposal concerns the community. President Maduro explained that there are currently 47,000 communities in the country with their respective teams, which are pillars of peace and a guarantee of combat: “In here we must also give a special impetus, and for this reason, I propose to organize into the Integral Bolivarian Command of Communities, which is an instance of aggregation, integration, and coordination… I leave this to the evaluation of this plenary session,” he declared.
The implementation of the 264,000 committees would represent the mobilization of approximately 2.5 million men and women organized at the grassroots level. This structure would complement the 47,000 existing community teams, strengthening the territorial organizational capacity of the ruling party.
