Head of State denies fake news: High Political-Military Command is more united than ever

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, forcefully responded to fake news about alleged divisions within the high political-military command. During the National Congress of Men and Women Cooks of the Homeland, the president sent a clear message to international critics:

«I have bad news for the schemers, the imperialists, and all their media outlets, websites, and agencies: Today, the high political-military command of the Bolivarian Revolution is more united and determined than ever to defend our homeland, you idiots,» firmly expressed the head of state.

The presidential statement specifically responds to a disinformation campaign recently published by the Miami Herald. This media outlet falsely claimed that Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez had negotiated with the United States for a transitional government excluding Maduro.

Vice President Rodríguez referred to these publications as part of the «garbage dump of psychological warfare against the Venezuelan people.» She denounced these media outlets as having «no ethics or morals» for exclusively favoring «lies and carrion» in their destabilizing campaign.

Rodríguez forcefully denied what was published in the alleged investigation reported by the media outlet. Her denial supports President Maduro’s statements about the unbreakable unity of the Bolivarian high command.

These fake news stories are part of a broader strategy of psychological warfare against Venezuela, associated with the interests of the US government. The objective of these media campaigns is to destabilize the country and create anxiety among the Venezuelan population, according to what the authorities pointed out.
