The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced the comprehensive activation of the Integral Defense Operational Zones (ZODI) in Miranda state and the Capital District. The president highlighted the perfect coordination achieved between the popular, military, and police components in the defensive deployment of these territories.
In a message published on his official channel on Telegram, the Head of State specified the geographic scope of the operation, which covers from Catia to Barlovento and from Petare to La Pastora, including Caricuao, the Tuy Valleys, and the Altos Mirandinos. The territorial coverage includes urban and rural areas of significant strategic importance.
The Constitutional President recalled that approximately seven million inhabitants reside in the state of Miranda and the Capital District, whom he described as «good and hardworking people.» The fundamental objective of the deployment of the ZODI is to guarantee the safety and protection of this considerable population.
Within the framework of Operation Independence 200, the President emphasized the need to defend the mountains and coasts of these territories. President Maduro instructed the completion of the full activation of the communal militia units and all existing popular defense bases in the region.
The Head of State reaffirmed that the unity of the Venezuelan people is the path to consolidating national peace: «Peace is our destiny and our blessing,» President Maduro concluded in his message, reaffirming the Bolivarian Government’s commitment to the stability and security of the nation.
