Through an audiovisual message published on his channel on Telegram, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, addressed the inauguration of the “Dr. Julio Criollo Rivas” Pediatric Hospital in Caracas, reaffirming his management model. “Governing from the people and with the communities. In Venezuela, what we are building is a direct, popular, and everyday democracy”, stated the president.

The Head of State dedicated the project to the youngest children, stating: “For the boys and girls all the best, and all our love!” With this action, the National Government reiterates its commitment to public health and the well-being of Venezuelan children.

The recently reopened health center has an estimated capacity to serve 300,000 children per year. It will offer quality services provided by scientific and medical professionals, guaranteeing an integral care with high human quality.

The renovations were carried out by the Juntos Todo es Posible (Together Everything is Possible) corporation. Among the new services are Pediatric Emergency, a hospitalization service with 15 separate rooms, a laboratory, an X-ray room, and a Gastroenterology Service.

The president took the opportunity to emphasize the grassroots nature of his administration. He asserted that Venezuela is not governed from a bourgeois perspective, but rather a democracy built with the people, and concluded: «We are on the right side of history, and on the right path”. The project is presented as a tangible symbol of a government model that defines itself as close and participatory.
