In the framework of the 20th anniversary of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB), the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that the peace of the country is sustained through the unrestricted defense of sovereignty and national resources. In a message released via Telegram, the Head of State emphasized that the protection of the Venezuelan people and their territorial integrity is an absolute priority.
The Head of State emphasized that the combat order is active to safeguard the Venezuelan people, with the support of the men and women who make up the National Armed Forces (FANB) and the Bolivarian Militia: “Peace and the development of the nation are the priority to guarantee sovereignty,” he stated, reiterating the deterrent and preventative nature of the Venezuelan defense forces against any external threat.
During the commemoration, the national leader awarded decorations to members of the CEOFANB and recognized the work of revolutionaries Francisco Arias Cárdenas, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, and Francisco Ameliach Orta, identified as founders of the Military and Bolivarian Revolution process that transformed the Venezuelan Armed Forces.
Likewise, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, recalled the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez, whom he described as a visionary military leader who promoted the study of history and knowledge as pillars of national defense: “Commander Chávez’s vision is impressive,” he emphasized, highlighting the evolution of the CEOFANB as the governing body of Venezuelan military strategy.
The Strategic Operational Command celebrates two decades as the coordinating body for the nation’s comprehensive defense, combining military capabilities with the active participation of the organized public. Its creation marked a milestone in the restructuring of the FANB under Bolivarian and anti-imperialist principles.
The commemoration reinforced the message that Venezuela will maintain its policy of sovereign peace, rejecting any attempt to violate its independence. The national government reaffirmed that peace diplomacy is accompanied by defensive preparations to deter external aggression.
