President Nicolás Maduro: National drill demonstrates civic-military and police integration

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, emphasized that the National Drill scheduled for this Saturday, September 27, demonstrates the perfect fusion between the People’s Power and the country’s police and military forces. This statement was made during the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB).

The head of state explained that this preparation exercise will be carried out simultaneously in the 24 states of the national territory and the Capital District. The activity is designed to strengthen response capabilities to natural phenomena, in light of the seismic events that have recently occurred in Venezuela, seeking to optimize coordinated action protocols.

The president made a special call to volunteers and the People’s Power to participate massively in this preparation session. He also emphasized that all citizens can play crucial roles during the simulation, from logistical tasks to administering first aid, highlighting the inclusive nature of the exercise.

Likewise, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela formally called on governors, mayors, and all security forces, firefighters, and civil protection agencies to work together with the people. He emphasized that inter-institutional coordination is essential to ensure the success of the simulation and the strengthening of the national risk management system.

During his speech, the head of state praised the Venezuelan people, qualifying it as «admirable and peace-loving,» who faithfully follow the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez. He emphasized that it was Chávez who transformed the meaning of the FANB (National Armed Forces of Venezuela) to create the military revolution of the 21st century, training professionals capable of acting in any scenario.

He also highlighted the advances in military training achieved over the past 20 years, noting that Venezuelan officers have advanced technology, specialized knowledge, and updated methodologies to address various situations. «Our officers are one of the greatest achievements we have made in these 20 years, with commitment, sacrifice, and professionalism,» stated President Nicolás Maduro during the commemorative event.

This drill represents another step in the consolidation of the Venezuelan civil protection system, demonstrating the coordinated response capacity between state institutions and the organized public in the face of potential natural emergencies.
