The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated this Saturday that the Venezuelan homeland will never be governed by a warmongering or colonialist military doctrine, in compliance with the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace. The message was shared through his channel on Telegram, in reference to the recent activation of the Communal Militia Units.
The Venezuelan president expressed that the government’s plans seek to bring peace to Venezuela, reaffirming its commitment to sovereignty and national self-determination. Through a digital publication, the head of state emphasized the importance of preserving patriotic values and the well-being of the people.
President Nicolás Maduro indicated that the activation of militia units is intended to ensure Venezuelan sovereignty to prevail with the power of the nation. Last Friday, the President activated these components for deployment in the 5,336 communal circuits throughout the country.
In parallel, the President implemented the Permanent Enlistment System through the Patria digital platform, inviting citizens to join the Bolivarian National Militia. This initiative is part of the efforts to defend national sovereignty and strengthens popular participation in territorial protection mechanisms.
President Nicolás Maduro emphasized that these measures are framed within the legitimate right to defense and the Venezuelan Constitution, which establishes joint responsibility between the State and the people in matters of national security. The system promotes civil-military integration as a fundamental pillar of integral defense.
The activation of the militia units represents a further step in the consolidation of the national defense system, under the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro and in compliance with Bolivarian constitutional principles. This deployment is being carried out with a preventive and deterrent purpose, always aimed at preserving peace.
Finally, the head of state reaffirmed that Venezuela will always maintain a pacifist but firm stance in defending its sovereignty, following the principles of Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy that characterize the government of President Nicolás Maduro and the Bolivarian Revolution.
