Marco Rubio leads aggressive plans against Venezuela and the region

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro accused U.S. Senator Marco Rubio of leading a destabilization campaign targeting his country, Latin America, and the Caribbean. He warned that these actions could lead the administration of Donald Trump to a situation that may be critical for U.S. interests.

Maduro pointed out that the strategy is driven by the so-called «Miami mafia,» which, according to him, acts out of hatred toward Venezuela: «Rubio is an extremist who fabricates threats against sovereign nations, pursuing only global control for his economic benefit”, he stated.

He described these maneuvers as a «political and psychological war» aimed at fostering extremism, but assured that the Venezuelan people remain united and calm. He also denounced these actions as part of a hegemonic policy to dominate those countries that defend their independence: «Their outdated narrative against Venezuela holds no longer any weight,» he maintained.

The president also condemned those promoting military intervention, whether internal or external, holding them responsible for a «serious crime» against the nation: «We Venezuelans will take to the streets to protect our homeland. This land is sacred and no one will violate it,» he declared.

Maduro emphasized that Venezuela has developed an innovative defense system capable of immediate response. «We have the doctrine, strategy, and strength to act”, he emphasized.

Finally, he asserted that the world is witnessing the decline of the US hegemonic model and reiterated the determination of his people: «We will defend our homeland firmly, because this soil is blessed and inviolable.»
