Venezuelan Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez stated this Thursday that the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) annual reports do not include Venezuela among the drug trafficking routes to the United States. The statement is based on the «National Drug Threat Assessment» reports for 2024 and 2025.

Through social media, Rodríguez questioned the U.S. military deployment in the Caribbean, calling it an arbitrary measure that uses the fight against drugs as a pretext to attack Venezuela and threaten its sovereignty.

The vice president denounced this strategy as a means of justifying actions against the country to control its energy resources and weaken its international reach.

In her remarks, Rodríguez shared excerpts from reports by the DEA, directed by Terry Cole, and stated that there is ample evidence that points this agency as «the largest drug cartel in the world.»

She concluded his message by reiterating that the true center of global drug trafficking is in North America, and assured that Venezuela will resolutely defend its territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
