Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro asserted during the creation ceremony of the 299 Peace Quadrants in Caracas that «the people has the power and an unassailable homeland».
Maduro emphasized that this achievement is due to the coordination of People’s Power, the police forces, and the military, which collaborate to guarantee peace, stability, and sovereignty throughout the national territory.

The president recalled a historic episode that occurred during Cipriano Castro’s administration, when a group of mercenaries attempted to sell the country’s resources to European powers. However, Castro led the army and the people in the Second Battle of La Victoria, thus preventing foreign interference.
This fact, according to Maduro, underscores the fundamental role of the people, who today work alongside the security forces. As an example, he mentioned the recent dismantling of a drug-related network linked to the case of explosives in Plaza Venezuela (Caracas), with the arrest of two suspects and the discovery of more weapons and devices intended to destabilize the country.
For his part, Vice President Diosdado Cabello emphasized that, although Venezuela is living in peace thanks to the policies implemented, constant vigilance is necessary to protect public safety and peace.
