The Sectoral Vice President for Political Sovereignty, Security, and Peace, Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Padrino López, presented a report from the General Command of the Bolivarian Army of Venezuela on the progress of Operación República (Operation Republic, Electoral Military Safety Device) 2025, carried out during the elections for mayors, municipal councils, and youth initiatives.
In his speech, the Commander-in-Chief recognized the efforts of the Operación República team, the Joint Major Staff, the Territorial Defense System, and the citizens for their participation in the democratic process. He reiterated that the security guarantees for voting were fully met, as it demonstrated in this journey:
“These elections mark the end of a cycle of renewal of powers. This year, the people elected the constitutional president of Venezuela, our Commander-in-Chief, Nicolás Maduro Moros,” pointed out Padrino López.
He also highlighted the civic commitment of Venezuelans, holding seven elections in one year, which, in his words, reflects courage and institutional strength in the face of the world.
As Minister of Defense, he described the day as a «wonderful democratic experience,» in which the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) effectively carried out the orders of the head of state, even overcoming adverse conditions such as rain and difficulties in remote areas.
The FANB reaffirmed its mission to protect peace, security, and the popular will, ensuring that each election is held in a climate of order, respect, and national sovereignty.
