Venezuela leads the construction of a new democracy

President Nicolás Maduro affirmed that the country is at the forefront of building a new model of democracy in Latin America, based on direct, popular participation. During an event with communities in Carabobo state, the president emphasized that this emerging system prioritizes the voice of the people in decision-making.

In his speech, Maduro urged the population to actively participate in the municipal elections and the Popular Consultation of Youth, scheduled for Sunday, July 27. He highlighted the key role of the new generations in the political and social transformation of the country, as well as the importance of adults supporting their initiatives, recognizing in them a force for renewal.

The Bolivarian Government reiterated its commitment to an authentic and inclusive democracy, where citizen participation is the main focus. The municipal elections will allow for the renewal of local leaders, strengthening grassroots popular power.

Furthermore, the Popular Consultation of Youth offers a historic space for young people to present their ideas and priorities, consolidating their leading role in the future of Venezuela. Both processes, which will be held simultaneously, seek to foster civic engagement and support projects promoted by organized youth.

With these actions, the Government reaffirms its commitment to participatory democracy, where every voice and every vote contribute to building a more just and inclusive society.
