The head of the Unified Command of the Bolivarian Revolution, Jorge Rodríguez, reported this Monday that the National Electoral Council (CNE) has approved the ballot that will be used in the municipal elections on July 27 of this year, with 36 cards from the same number of national political organizations and another 17 regional ones.
During the 83rd edition of the «Con Maduro+» program, where he participated to report on the progress of the Great Patriotic Pole in terms of organization ahead of the aforementioned elections, he affirmed that Venezuela is a model of democratic strength:
«We, for example, are going with the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP). And there are nine parties that are in perfect alliance (…) But there are candidates from across the political spectrum, from those who previously participated in the extremist right-wing proposals to those who make up the so-called democratic opposition that participates in the National Assembly and signed a political coexistence agreement in September 2020,” he explained.
In this regard, he counted 36 national political parties, of diverse tendencies, participating in the electoral contest, in addition to another 17 regional parties that joined with their candidates for mayor and/or communal councils: “There are candidates from both the Chavismo and the opposition in all 335 municipalities.”
