Regarding a security operation to guarantee the stability of the country, was dismantled a network comprised of 20 people linked to the Monitor Dólar platform, as announced by the Minister of People’s Power for Internal Relations, Justice, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during the broadcast of his “Con El Mazo Dando” (Hitrting with the Hammer) program.
Cabello explained that multiple arrests have been made as part of an investigation carried out with complete discretion and without any hassle: «Today, one was revealed, but there are 20. We caught them, presented them to the Public Ministry (MP) and the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), and let them handle what they should handle.»
He also stated that the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) is conducting an ongoing investigation into those promoting the parallel dollar exchange rate.
In this regard, he emphasized that authorities will act firmly to guarantee economic stability and prevent illegal manipulation of the national currency, thus protecting the interests of the Venezuelan people.
Earlier, the arrest of a citizen identified as Carlos Andrés Pérez Abreu was reported, accused of promoting the parallel dollar rate through social media.
According to the investigation, the Instagram site managed by Pérez Abreu was used to obtain illicit profits derived from price fluctuations for disproportionate profits.
The investigation is ongoing, and more details about the scope of this operation and the actions that will be taken against those responsible are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
