President Nicolás Maduro talks with his counterpart Xi Jinping in Russia

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, talks with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, during a dinner hosted by Russian leader Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin to welcome special guests who will attend the grand parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Red Army’s victory over the Nazis.

Venezuela and China maintain an unrestricted, all-proof-all-time strategic partnership, where cooperation is reflected in various areas, including politics, economics, and peace diplomacy.

It is important to note that China is Venezuela’s main trading partner and maintains a cooperation agreement that exceeds 600 bilateral agreements. This initiative was born out of a mutual will and commitment to address global challenges and ensure the well-being of their populations.

Relations between the two countries have deepened since 2023 with the implementation of various plans and areas to consolidate their economic independence in the face of the global tariff war imposed by the North American empire.

Last April, Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez developed a broad work agenda in the Asian nation to fine-tune the details of cooperation, covering key areas such as oil, gas, gold, artificial intelligence, non-oil alternatives, and others. Furthermore, during that visit, both countries established a common cooperation agenda in addition to the Seven Transformations Plan (7T).
