Cabello on «rescue» of extremists from the Argentine embassy: Don’t lie, it was all negotiated!

The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, responded to the fable about the release of a group of opposition extremists linked to the organization of the groups that caused riots and terror among the population on July 29, 2024, while they were in the Argentine embassy in Caracas:

«They went into the Argentine embassy on their own, suddenly they came out, and speculation began. They said it was an extraordinary operation. Now those who more or less know say it was based on a negotiation between the parties, and those who deny the negotiation did so because they were left out of it,» revealed Cabello.

He also emphasized that the four citizens’ continued presence in the embassy depended on their will, as no one from the government had brought them to the diplomatic compound, but their leaders had promised that the United States Marines would rescue them.

He specified that the departure of these four extremists was carried out in accordance with the request made by the negotiators, who wanted to avoid leaving the embassy in the normal manner, using the door, arguing that «after all the show, we can’t just walk out like nothing happened.»

«I can’t say everything, but negotiations were already underway. I said it here several times: ‘We want to leave…’ Get out! ‘But after all the show, we can’t just walk out like nothing happened. Send a ladder and a rope to get out the back.’ And we: take the ladder and leave through the back. By the way, they didn’t give me back the ladder or the rope, and I had to go look for them because they say that no, that they were heroes,» he explained.

Cabello also presented some charts from the documentation of Corina Parisca, María Corina Machado’s mother, who left on a flight from Maiquetía Airport to Colombia as part of the negotiations, at the extremist’s request:

«María Machado’s mother is part of this negotiation. When did María Machado’s mother leave? Here’s her departure record for the La Guaira-Bogotá flight on May 5,» he noted, emphasizing that «they’re going to place Corina Parisca in a nursing home because María Machado doesn’t want to have her, and how do we know? Because we even made the contact for the asylum,» he revealed.
