Was sworn in National Commission for constitutional reform

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, swore in this Saturday those who will make up the National Commission that will advance the project for constitutional reform.

From the Elliptical Hall of the National Assembly, the Venezuelan head of State indicated that this broad and inclusive commission “will be in charge of carrying out the consultation process and the process of preparing the project that we are going to present to the people.»

«I am convinced, beyond the threats, beyond the tests that we have overcome, beyond the scenario, I am convinced that our country is ready to build its future,» stressed the National President.

In this sense, he appointed the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, the deputy to the National Assembly, Herman Escarrá and the first Combatant Woman, Cilia Flores; as members of the Executive Secretariat of the National Commission.

In this commission, members of the Executive Cabinet will also be integrated in order to advance the debate in the communities.

In this sense, he swore in the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez; the president of the Supreme Court of Justice, Caryslia Rodríguez; the magistrate Tania D’Amelio; the president of the National Electoral Council, Elvis Amoroso; the Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, the Attorney General of the Republic, Reinaldo Muñoz; the Minister for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, and the Minister for Communes, Ángel Prado.

This instance will also be integrated by the Minister for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, the Minister for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, the Minister for Communication, Freddy Ñañez, the Minister for Labor, Eduardo Piñate.

The commission is completed by Jesús Martínez Barrios, Pedro Calzadilla, Gustavo Pereira, Grecia Colmenares, Sarah Tavera, Anaìs Arismendi, Orlando Camacho, Larry Devoe, Noelí Pocaterra and Demetria Monasterio.

In his speech, President Nicolás Maduro gave the members of the Commission a period of 90 days to present a draft Constitutional Reform to the Venezuelan people.
