The head of government of the Guayana Esequiba state, Admiral Neil Villamizar Sánchez, held an important strategic meeting with the vice president of the Venezuelan Corporation of Guayana (CVG), M/G Santiago Infante, to coordinate actions that reaffirm Venezuelan sovereignty over the Essequibo territory.
In the meeting, which was attended by the government team and the vice presidency of marketing and strategic planning of the CVG, fundamental aspects for the development and integral protection of the region were addressed, under the public policies developed in the 7T guided by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.
The officials evaluated joint projects that seek to strengthen the institutional presence in the area, in addition to emphasizing the importance of national unity in the defense of Venezuela’s historical rights over the Essequibo territory: «We are working in perfect coordination to consolidate actions that guarantee our sovereign rights over the Essequibo, a territory that historically belongs to us,» said Villamizar Sánchez.
For his part, Infante highlighted the CVG’s commitment to the development of initiatives that contribute to territorial defense, where he highlighted the relevance of cooperation between State institutions for this national purpose.
The meeting concluded with the establishment of specific agreements to implement strategic projects that strengthen the Venezuelan presence in the region, which reaffirms the Bolivarian Government’s unwavering commitment to the defense of the nation’s territorial integrity.
