Delcy Rodríguez: We are willing for a respectful dialogue with the United States

The Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, manifested the willingness of Venezuela to establish a diplomatic dialogue with the United States, and reiterated that respect is the fundamental basis for these conversations and the establishment of mechanisms of understanding:

“We are willing for a respectful dialogue; we are willing to talk; we are willing that, through due respect among nations, bilateral understanding mechanisms can be established, mechanisms of regional cooperation can be established, mechanisms can be established as a mandate of International Law”, she said in an interview offered to the “José Vicente Hoy” (José Vicente Today) program, broadcast this Sunday by Televen.

She recalled that, according to what is established by public international law, States must relate through cooperation, multilateral and bilateral mechanisms, and on that basis Venezuela is willing to take steps in its relation with the United States.

“Opportunities will always be given, because the possibilities depend on the will, and the will of Venezuela, of the Government of Venezuela, is to maintain relations of respect and dialogue with all countries”, she said.
