The head of State, Nicolás Maduro, called on all productive sectors for a great journey of inclusive and unitary dialogue with a view to a great constitutional reform that updates the postulates of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela towards a new society and economy that defends the country from the new threats that seek to destroy the nation.
During the solemn act of swearing-in as President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the elliptical hall of the Federal Legislative Palace, in Caracas, the national President asserted that he “will sign a decree for the creation of a broad national and international commission to go to a constitutional reform through the activation of a great debate and dialogue of all the sectors that make life in the nation.»
He said that it will be a dialogue to create an inclusive project «with the authority that the Law and the people give me… I will proceed to update this 25-year-old beauty to make it better and bigger,» because «we are the guarantee of an insistent and inviting democracy.»
Likewise, President Maduro explained that this reform “will lead to the democratization process that creates the new profile of Venezuelan society and economy.» In addition, he stressed that his great mission is the «consolidation of peace and sovereignty,» because «Bolivarians and Chavistas have great tasks and to guarantee the security, peace and existence of the Republic of an inclusive and inviting democracy.»
Finally, he reported that he will give the AN, «the only political and moral authority,» to be the epicenter of the debate together with the people, a project with an inclusive consensus with the different sectors that «will improve, perfect, expand and beautify the Constitution» projected in the ideas and values of the country.
