Return of US officials to Venezuela is a triumph over imperialism

The return of diplomatic officials from the US Government to Venezuela represents a triumph over imperialism, which indirectly recognizes the consolidation of peace in the Latin American country with the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) and the popular victory in 18 states on October 15, when the regional elections were held, as said on Wednesday the Minister for Communication and Information, Ernesto Villegas.

“It has been a victory of the Venezuelan sovereignty, a defeat of the imperial policy of blockade to Venezuela. We are accumulating victories, our peoples are accumulating victories. We have entered a new victorious dynamics”, he said.

“We have reversed the negative political effects that the 2015 elections in Venezuela brought to our people, and we have made progress in the political victories we need to defeat imperialism in the economic field, which is our primary ambition”, he said. during the presentation of a report on the blockade against Cuba at the National Library in Caracas.

In the activity, he stressed that the American media that released this news, The Voice of America (VOA), deleted the information because, in his opinion, they acknowledge the return of peace in the country after the installation of the ANC.

In that sense, he complained that some national media reported the news with another approach “and omitted the fact that the United States Government decided to bring back to Caracas its diplomats, who had allegedly been withdrawn or sentenced to leave because of the danger they were in, and now the streets have been normalized and not only Nicolás Maduro has been consolidated, but the Venezuelan people in power”.

The US Government approved the return to Venezuela of diplomats who were withdrawn from the country last July, amidst the situation of political violence driven by sectors of the national and international right wing that for more than 120 days left 172 people dead, says one report of the Ministry of People’s Power for Communication and Information.
