Bourgeois National Assembly is self-extinguishing

“The bourgeois-oligarchic National Assembly is self-extinguishing (…) Out of 108 deputies that the opposition has (…) it turns out that this year in 10 opportunities they have not had quorum of operation. Is this how they want to run a country, and it got out of their hands, and they do not know how to run a National Assembly? (…) last year they were 45 times that they did not had quorum”.

This was assured by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during a meeting with constituents one month after the installation of the ANC.

The Head of State questioned the labour of deputy Julio Borges, as rector of the legislative power, so that the performance of his chamber contrasts with that realized in 15 years of Revolution, where the patriot forces had the majority of the seats.

“We had the majority of the Assembly for 15 years … and not once did we have a quorum problem … and we had 84 deputies, with a majority of one, and they asked us every day for the verification of quorum, with malice, and we never broke the quorum, 15 years complying with the country, legislating for the country.

Finally, the National President stated that on July 30, the people voted for peace, for dialogue and coexistence; flags that fly the National Constituent Assembly.
