The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during a working meeting with the Five Generations of the Bolivarian Revolution, assured that there must be a deep reformatting of the Bolivarian Revolution to build a more direct and popular democracy for the Venezuelan people and advance further towards socialism.
“We have the historical strength to set ourselves the great historical task of making a profound renewal of the entire Bolivarian Revolution. We have the experience, the historical project, the spiritual strength, the legacy of Hugo Chávez, the People’s Power, the civic-military-police union, in order to set ourselves the historical task of making a renewal and refoundation of the entire Bolivarian Revolution,” he added.
In turn, the head of State emphasized that individualism and egocentrism were defeated by Commander Hugo Chavez, “and we thank life for having given us a man with values of collective work, no one can consider themselves indispensable in any task, not even me.”
“If we want things to change for the better, for the good, pointing towards a future of at least 30, 40 more years of great achievements in the construction of a powerful Venezuela, let us change first of all. We have the historical strength to set ourselves the great historical task of making a profound renovation of the entire Bolivarian Revolution,” he indicated.
Defeating egos:
Likewise, he emphasized that “ego and individualism are the breeding ground for betrayal, division, lies, corruption and rot. The egos fed by the bourgeoisie that betrayed Chavez have dried up, dried up, defeated, abandoned and alone. They (the far right wing) have no history, what they have is money, interests and personal ambitions, we have a robust historical vision and a robust legacy to defend with our own lives.”
He warned that “today we not only have a coup-mongering and violent opposition,” but that under its command “a fascist, criminal, Nazi current has emerged that wants to surrender the national territory.”
