The former presidential candidate, citizen Edmundo González Urrutia, did not attend the summons made by the Public Prosecutor’s Office this Friday, where he was due to appear at 10:00 in the morning. This would be the third call made by the prosecution to testify about the usurpation of functions of the electoral Power, after the creation of a fraudulent website where altered electoral records were published after the elections of last June 28.
González had to explain his alleged involvement in crimes of usurpation of functions, falsification of documents, instigation to disobedience, computer crime, criminal association and conspiracy.
The new notice indicated that if the person does not appear before this prosecutor’s office on the date indicated, it will be considered that we are in the presence of a risk of flight, as provided for in article 237, and of the risk of obstruction, provided for in article 238 of the Organic Code of Criminal Procedure, for which the corresponding arrest warrant will be processed.
It is expected that in the next few hours the Public Prosecutor’s Office will make a statement to indicate what new actions will be taken regarding this case.
