Head of State reiterated call for political dialogue with parties registered in the CNE

After appearing before the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), to settle the controversy related to the electoral process of July 28, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, offered a press conference in which he reiterated that he will call for a political dialogue with the parties that are registered in the National Electoral Council (CNE).

The head of State emphasized that dialogue with the extreme right wing has become impossible due to the incitement to hatred made by this sector: «Regarding the negotiation with the fascist right, it is only to be made with the Attorney General of the Republic, ‘la Machado’ must surrender to justice and face the damages, may she answer for the crimes committed,» he said.

He recalled that the Bolivarian Government has opened the doors to find agreements, such as holding elections, while regretting that the extreme right wing has not respected the agreements signed in the meetings held in Barbados and Qatar:

“We opened the doors to them, we went to Barbados, to Qatar, we spoke with their masters in the United States, but they did not respect any agreement, neither those of Barbados nor those of Qatar and they did not respect any Venezuelan electoral law, what they did in the campaign was to create violence, we tell them to follow the rules, the Constitution.”

Regarding the violence generated by the “guarimbas” (riots), President Maduro stated that 90% of those responsible have been captured: “One thing is a peaceful struggle, and another is causing harm to the Venezuelan people, the “guarimbas” destroyed hospitals, symbolic statues, buses, CLAP headquarters, attacks on civilians, national guards and police officers, these criminal people are convicted for all the damage they did. And I tell you, no gringo will come here to rule Venezuela, we are not puppets of anyone.»

The constitutional president of Venezuela called for peace and rejected any foreign interference in the affairs of Venezuela and stressed that the people yearn for prosperity and the economic and social construction of the country.
