Alex Saab appointed as president of the Center for Productive Investments of Venezuela

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, appointed diplomat Alex Saab as president of the Center for Productive Investments of Venezuela (CIIP), to generate strategies aimed at promoting investments and foreign trade.

From the Protocol Chamber of the National Assembly, during the presentation of the Annual Message to the nation, the head of state highlighted that “with his experience, Saab will help our country bring investments and economic strength from the world.”

He recalled that, after being kidnapped by the United States Government for 1,280 days, his release was achieved through the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace: “Alex, I trust you completely,” said President Nicolás Maduro, after the diplomat was appointed to this new position.

The Center for Productive Investments of Venezuela is created as the institute in charge of the registration, study and monitoring of Unilateral Coercive Measures and other restrictive or punitive measures; as well as the evaluation, approval and promotion of productive projects and the management of the Country Brand.
