TSJ ratifies the summons schedule for candidates and party representatives

The president of the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), Caryslia Beatriz Rodríguez, reported this Tuesday that the summons schedule for candidates and representatives of political parties who participated in the elections of July 28 is ratified, and that they are already formally summoned:

“It is noted at this time that are duly and formally summoned all representatives of the parties, as well as the citizens who served as candidates, who must comply with the aforementioned court order and attend this jurisdictional body in accordance with the schedule published on this same date, which is ratified,” said the magistrate.

This Monday, the TSJ ordered in ruling 027 that they are summoned to submit the electoral elements for the investigation, after the National Electoral Council (CNE) delivered the minutes and evidences of the cyber attack. Those summoned must also respond to an interrogation before the Chamber.

Rodríguez reminded that the body requested the submission of all electoral instruments of legal relevance that are in the possession of political parties and candidates, related to the presidential election process.

The process of expertise of the submitted material will extend for a period of up to 15 extendable days, and therefore those who do not attend the summons may face legal consequences, added the head of the TSJ.

In ruling 027, the Electoral Chamber details that this Wednesday, August 7, must appear Manuel Rosales for the Un Nuevo Tiempo (UNT) party; José Luis Cartaya for the Mesa de la Unidad Democrática (MUD); and, José Simón Calzadilla for the Movement for Venezuela (MPV).

Also, at 11:00 in the morning, Edmundo González Urrutia; at 1:00 in the afternoon, Luis Parra for the Primero Venezuela party; Conrado Pérez Linares for the Primero Justicia Movement; Omar Ávila for Union Vision Venezuela; and, Chaim Bucarán for Venezuela Unidad, while at 3:00 in the afternoon, José Brito.

At 4:00 in the afternoon, José Bernabé Gutierrez for Acción Democrática (AD); Miguel Salazar for Copei; Mario Valdez for Movimiento Republicano; Pedro Veliz for Bandera Roja; José Contreras for Derecha Democrática Popular; Carlos Melo for the Union Nacional Electoral (UNE) and at 6:00, Luis Eduardo Martínez.

Likewise, on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 8:00 a.m., José Noriega for the Voluntad Popular party and José Perdomo for Alianza Politica Asamblea Renovación y Esperanza (AREPA); at 9:00 a.m., Daniel Ceballos, at 10:00 a.m., Alfonso Campos for Esperanza por el Cambio, and at 10:30 a.m., Javier Bertucci.

Next, at 11:30 a.m., Cristian Chirinos for Soluciones por Venezuela; at 12:00 noon, Claudio Fermín; at 2:00 p.m., Erick Ondarroa for Alianza del Lápiz; Roger González for Min Unidad; Timoteo Zambrano for Cambiemos; Leonardo Morales for Avanzada Progresista; Alejandro Aguilera for the Ecological Movement of Venezuela; and, Máximo Sánchez for Fuerza Vecinal, and at 5:00 in the afternoon, Antonio Ecarri.
