President Maduro led promotion ceremony in the National Pantheon

From the Mausoleum of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, in the National Pantheon, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, accompanied by the First Combatant Woman, Cilia Flores de Maduro, led the Promotion Act to the rank of Division Generals and Vice Admirals, Brigadier Generals and Rear Admirals, Superior and Subaltern Officers who occupied first place in the order of merit corresponding to each promotion and category of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).

After receiving the corresponding honors, and greeting the different authorities accompanying the event, the Head of State and Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, proceeded to the promotions and presented the replica of the sword of the General in Chief. Simon Bolivar.

There were 79, including Division Generals and Vice Admirals, 25 Army Division Generals, 17 Vice Admirals of the Bolivarian Navy, 16 Division Generals of the Military Aviation, 21 from the Bolivarian National Guard.

For the rank of Brigadier General and Rear Admiral, 31 Army Division Generals, 31 Army Brigadier Generals, 14 Navy Rear Admirals, 17 Military Aviation Generals, 24 Brigadier Generals of the Bolivarian National Guard are promoted. At the solemn ceremony he also placed the bright stars of Junín and Ayacucho on the first 68 Officers of their promotion.

President Nicolás Maduro stated «we have reached the bicentennial year of the triumph of our forces in Junín and Ayacucho, the year of Bolívar and Sucre, the liberators of the south, we carry their blood, their idea, their strength and their spirit.»

He recognized the civic-military union, the authentic, Venezuelan military power, with its doctrine, its values, manuals, discipline, historical thought, of the Liberators; of “an Armed Force that reaches 2024 strengthened, in perfect harmony and union, based on love for the Homeland.”
