Before the massive concentration that took place in El Vigía, in Mérida state, in support of the Bolivarian management, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced the installation in El Vigía, in Mérida state, of the first farm producing solar energy for 50 megawatts.
“The first one to arrive from China,” he detailed, pointing out that 50 megawatts will be added to the electrical capacity of El Vigía “with solar self-generation.”
In this regard, the Venezuelan president summoned spokespersons from the 23 communal circuits of El Vigía to establish strategies to develop the solar farm plan.
To the communal councils and communal circuits, President Maduro recommended monitoring the establishment of 11 new water wells in El Vigía: “I have the equipment, the technology, the money,” but “I want the communal councils and communal circuits to monitor the establishment of these wells.”
In economic matters, he called to “continue investing to recover, in a sustainable way, production and commerce.” Along these lines, he considered it important to “resume trade with the Táchira, with Colombia,” at the same time that he ordered putting “the Onia bridge into service” and “paving the entire road up there.”
Likewise, the head of state ordered, within a maximum period of 20 days, the Minister of People’s Power for Transportation, Ramón Velázquez Araguayán, to carry out work on the Onia bridge that connects the Mérida and Táchira states.
On this journey was also requested the recovery of the roads of the Pan-American Highway, which consists of approximately 70 kilometers and requires “14,000 tons of asphalt to serve the entire road network”.
