Venezuela assumes vice presidency of the UN General Assembly

The permanent representative of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN), Samuel Moncada, was elected by acclamation as vice president of the General Assembly, representing the Latin American and Caribbean region.

The information was made known by Moncada, through his official account on the X social network (Twitter). In addition, the diplomat emphasized that “for the first time Venezuela is elected to one of the vice presidencies of the UN General Assembly.”

He indicated that the representation of Yankee imperialism in the UN was the only one to oppose Venezuela’s election. He remembered that the Joe Biden’s administration still acknowledges “the puppet government they invented” to steal the Oil Corporation (Citgo) from Venezuelans.

“That is what local US agents are for,” pointed out Ambassador Samuel Moncada in his message.
