Grandparents acknowledge President Maduro’s strength to confront the blockade

We are moving towards a future where better times will prevail. Our commitment is firm to change and improve everything necessary to ensure our defined priorities,” said the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during the closing of the National Congress of the Grandfathers of the Homeland.

The head of state thanked the grandfathers and grandmothers for their acknowledgment in the fight to confront the sanctions and blockade against the country and added that “the current generation of leaders, who grew up in the 70s and 80s, still retain their dreams and aspirations of a free and equitable nation for all.”

Likewise, the national leader stressed, «I have been loyal to the people of Venezuela, I have put my life and my chest to defend it from imperialism, I swore an oath to our Commander Chávez to be loyal to you

In this sense, the spokesperson for the grandparents of Carabobo state, Miguel Castro, reiterated the president’s strength in facing the blockade against the country: «Our president has faced the criminal blockade and the Great Mission of the Grandfathers and Grandmothers of the Homeland is a reflection of the humanitarian vision, who understands and values ​​the active participation of our elderly grandparents in the transcendental issues of the nation.»

Castro also highlighted the collaboration between grandparents and the Government to improve the health system and other essential services. “The key to success lies in the effective organization and supervision of resources and thus guaranteeing the well-being and dignity of our grandparents.”
