The constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, left in service the Delta Amacuro Nucleus of the National Polytechnic Experimental University of the Armed Forces (Unefa) and, in addition, the new headquarters of the National Experimental University of Security (UNES) in Tucupita.
“I am happy to be able to inaugurate this new Unefa headquarters and, in addition, give the UNES students their new University as well. Education, more education to have a Homeland,” he expressed to the students and civil and military authorities who accompany him on this presidential journey, where he will evaluate the progress of the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health (Bricomiles).
In the Unefa core facilities, several engineering degrees are offered, including civil and gas engineering, as well as higher technicians and bachelor’s degrees. It has an enrollment of 500 Delta students, who will continue their academic training in this nucleus of the University of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), a number that the Head of State proposed to increase to a thousand in a first stage.
During the tour, the rector of Unefa, Ricardo Nicodemo Ramos, reported that the institution recently turned 25 years old, and in this time it has graduated 183,000 professionals, of this total 2,000 correspond to Delta Amacuro state.
